SEEDREAM TROUBLESHOOTING

Fix a failed or stuck Seedream generation

Start with the saved task instead of repeatedly pressing Generate. Check its status and error, confirm account allowance, validate the selected model settings and files, review content-safety requirements, and retry only after correcting the likely cause.

Keep the task ID when contacting support. It is the fastest way to trace model, provider, status, timing, and credit records.

CAPABILITIES

Common reasons a Seedream request fails

Use the sections below to make a practical decision, follow a repeatable process, and avoid common production mistakes.

Unsupported model setting

The selected model may not support the requested mode, duration, resolution, aspect ratio, reference count, file type, or combination of inputs.

Prompt or reference moderation

A prompt or uploaded file may violate content-safety rules or trigger an upstream moderation system. Remove prohibited content rather than disguising it.

Credits or free-use limit

The account may have insufficient credits, no remaining free generations, or a stale balance. Refresh the account state before submitting again.

Provider or network failure

Capacity limits, timeouts, upstream errors, expired upload URLs, and interrupted callbacks can leave a task failed or delayed even when the prompt is valid.

WORKFLOWS

Troubleshoot without creating duplicate charges

Follow the steps in order, record the important settings and task IDs, and review the result before using it in production.

01

Inspect the existing task

Open My Creations, copy the task ID, note the status and time, and check whether an output or error is already present before retrying.

02

Reduce to a supported request

Confirm the balance, use a short compliant prompt, remove extra references, choose standard settings, and upload a supported file format.

03

Escalate with evidence

If the task remains stuck or credits were charged without an output, contact support with the task ID, account email, time, model, and a description that does not reveal secret keys.

FAQ

Seedream Generation Failed questions

Answers for failed, slow, blocked, duplicated, or charged Seedream image and video generation tasks.

Why is Seedream stuck on generating?

The provider may still be queued, status polling may be delayed, or the upstream task may have stalled. Check My Creations before retrying so you do not create a duplicate task.

Why was my Seedream prompt rejected?

The prompt or a reference may violate the acceptable-use policy or provider moderation rules. Remove prohibited or ambiguous content and submit a compliant creative request.

What if Seedream deducted credits but produced no image?

Keep the task ID and review its final status and credit history. If it is failed and the charge was not handled automatically, contact support for a task-level review.

Should I keep pressing Generate when nothing happens?

No. First verify whether a task was created in My Creations. Repeated submissions can create separate billable jobs even if the current page has not updated.
