SeedreamSEEDREAM API DOCUMENTATION
Start from the currently documented endpoint and model availability, keep credentials on the server, validate every request, store provider task IDs, handle asynchronous status changes, and copy expiring outputs into durable storage when your workflow requires retention.
A Seedream platform key and an upstream provider credential are different secrets. Never place either key in frontend code, public repositories, screenshots, or prompts.
Use the sections below to make a practical decision, follow a repeatable process, and avoid common production mistakes.
Read the endpoint documentation, identify which service issues the required key, store it in a protected server environment, and avoid logging authorization headers.
Allowlist models and settings, validate prompt and file limits, apply content moderation, verify the user and balance, and create an internal task before calling a provider.
Persist the internal task ID, provider task ID, model, cost, timestamps, and status so users can leave the page and return to pending or completed work.
Treat provider URLs as potentially temporary. Copy approved outputs to configured durable storage and save the resulting URL against the user task.
Follow the steps in order, record the important settings and task IDs, and review the result before using it in production.
Authenticate the caller, rate-limit the key, moderate the prompt and references, validate settings, and calculate the displayed credit cost.
Create the internal task first, submit the provider request once, save the upstream ID, and update status idempotently during polling or callbacks.
Verify the output, copy it to durable storage, record final cost and metadata, and return a stable task response that matches the client contract.
Answers about Seedream API keys, authentication, asynchronous tasks, retries, rate limits, and expiring result URLs.
Open the Docs section for currently documented platform endpoints. Confirm the model, authentication method, parameters, response shape, and billing behavior before implementation.
Do not expose a secret API key in the browser. Send the user request to an authenticated backend that validates input and calls the documented service using a protected server-side credential.
Create an internal task record and store the provider task ID, status, timestamps, model, owner, cost, and final durable output URL. Make polling and callbacks idempotent.
If retention is permitted and required, copy the completed output into your own durable storage before the provider URL expires, then update the task with the stored URL.
Seedream is an independent creative platform. Model and provider names belong to their respective owners. Seedream is not affiliated with or endorsed by those owners unless explicitly stated. Model availability and capabilities can change by provider.
